Full branding for a fashion and lifestyle brand
Nuvango is an innovative fashion and lifestyle brand located in Toronto who collaborates with international artists to create wearable masterpieces. Nuvango emerged out of the shared passions of its founders for quality, sustainable production and well designed artistic goods. We worked with Nuvango to create a new logo and visual identity system that could work with all their different product lines—apparel, wall decor, home goods and accessories. Online and retail packaging, stationery, thank you cards, stickers, tags, ads and pins were all part of branding their new image.
Nuvango’s artful products are full of color and texture with no trace of boring or basic in them. Their products are wearable pieces of art, so we wanted their visual identity to feel like a gallery wall to display them. We kept the look minimal and clean, to contrast against their bold and busy prints. This also solved the challenge of needing their identity to work with various styles of art and several types of product lines. We created a flexible logo system that uses a variety of submarks and icons for just about any platform or orientation. Content areas are shown inside an adjustable grid and write-in fields are used for products that are handmade. Overall, the identity is modern and clean with personal touches that make it feel special and thoughtful.
Inspired by an artist testing out a marker or paintbrush, we designed the icon to feel like a similar scribble. It felt like the perfect way to symbolize an N for Nuvango while speaking to the artistic nature of their products. The full wordmark was inspired by an artist’s signature, while giving them their own signature style.
